The performer told Harper’s Bazaar that she’s been leaning into some “unconventional ideas,” adding, “I’m at a stage where I no longer need to compete with myself.”
“I found CBD during my previous tour and have seen its advantages for pain and inflammation,” she explained. “It helped with my restless nights and the aggravation that comes from being unable to sleep. Honey has therapeutic qualities that help both me and my children. And now I’m constructing a hemp and honey farm.”
Beyoncé is also working on a follow-up to her visual album Black Is King from last year, which featured collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, Tierra Whack, Childish Gambino, Blue Ivy Carter, and Jay-Z. The vocalist also made an appearance on Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage Remix.”
“I’ve been working at the studio for a year and a half now. It can take me up to a year to sift through hundreds of sounds to locate the perfect kick or snare. “A chorus might have up to 200 layered harmonies,” she explained.
