Hermès, the luxury fashion house, has announced that for Hermes in the Making, the public will be invited to meet its artisans and learn about the brand’s craftsmanship. Check the news Copenhagen will host the Hermes in the Making event and more on Switzerland based Luxury Lifestyle Magazine- Kenleaks Magazine.
The event will include a variety of exhibitions, workshops, conferences, and films that will reveal the brand’s modern manufacturing process and how items are designed. Artisans from the house’s various design trades will travel to the exhibition with their materials and tools to share their artisanal techniques with visitors.
The event will be divided into four themes based on Hermès’ history and life, including know-how preservation and transmission, material quality respect, long-term commitment, and regional anchoring. Guests will be guided through the themes through the use of immersive activities.
Workshops focus on design skills, such as fragrance manufacturing, and provide interactive experiences for visitors to participate in on their own. Round tables and conferences will serve as the foundation for sit-down talks and discussions on topics such as craftsmanship, innovation, and transmission.
Visitors will also be able to watch films from filmmaker Frédéric Laffont’s ‘Footsteps Across the World’ collection, which tells the story of Hermès’ sustainability development.
