Legendary Studios and Warner Bros. have officially given the go-ahead for the second installment of Dani Villeneuve’s “Dune.” The epic story’s sequel will be released in theaters on October 20, 2023. “Dune” premiered in the United States on October 22nd, coinciding with the HBO Max streaming service’s launching. The film made $40.1 million in its first weekend in the United States, making it Villeneuve’s biggest debut weekend in the domestic market and the biggest launch of any Warner Bros. hybrid movie.
