Guo Pei: Himalays
In the understanding of the designer, this is not only the geographical peak of the world, but also a symbol of exaltation, and in a broader sense – high fashion.
Perhaps that is why, along with the clouds-like dresses of sculptural silhouettes made of kilometers of tulle, Guo Pei created for herself iconic outfits with silhouettes and embroidery, inspired by rich Asian mythology. The collection includes a number of gold, emerald and pale pink mini and maxi dresses with long sleeves widening downward, models with patchwork from old Japanese obi belts, ensembles embroidered with sacred Buddhist thangkas and decorated with 3D 3D-decor in the form of lotuses.
The models wore white tights in an “openwork” mesh and massive boots with “winter” patterns or miniature bows on their feet.
