Nike Updates the Huarache With New FitAdapt Self-Lacing Technology.
Nike just unveiled its new Adapt Huarache sneaker, so the classic 1991 runner now features updated technologies. It’s most notable feature FitAdapt self-lacing technology, which is run from a midfoot motor and is controlled by the Nike Adapt app.
The app can also be controlled by the Apple Watch or Siri. It features several preset fit recommendations depending on your foot type and the activity taking place. Furthermore, the app allows you to choose your favorite color for the sneaker’s LED light.
As far as looks are concerned. The shoe takes a lot of inspiration from the original Huarache. Starting with minimal branding across the sneaker. Another influence is referenced to aquatic themes, including colorways and the shoe’s upper, as a nod to the silhouette’s original water ski-inspired shape.
The first colorways of the Adapt Huarache sneaker drop on September 13. You can purchase them at select Nike retailers as well as from the SNKRS and SNEAKRS apps. Let us know what you think about them in the comments.
