“Oscar de la Renta no longer uses fur in its collections, no longer sells it in its stores, and will no longer sell it in the future.” Furthermore, after the license to sell these things expires, no new Oscar de la Renta products containing fur will be sold, according to a statement from the Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade (CAFT).
Previously, both Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman refused to sell natural fur. According to the new policy, all fur salons associated with these labels will be shuttered by the beginning of 2023. Bergdorf Goodman had one, whereas Neiman Marcus has 21. Furthermore, Canada Goose has said that it would discontinue the use and sale of real fur by the end of 2022. Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s department shops, as well as Gucci, Chanel, Prada, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, and Burberry, have all abandoned real fur.
