The Rome-based design firm has lately released images of a new 69-meter yacht design with a “gaping hole” in the centre. The appropriately called Shape idea, which will be totally powered by pure energy, boasts a massive empty space in its superstructure, resulting in a beautifully unusual appearance.

The “hole deck” is accessed by an entry on the bow and includes steps leading down to the sea level, making it an excellent sun lounging area that can be adapted to meet the needs of the owner.
Meanwhile, the upper deck of the boat has a glass-bottomed infinity pool that provides swimmers with a spectacular perspective of the open area below.
The living section, located at the back of the superstructure, is made up of six apartments that can accommodate up to 12 people.

“Space on The Shape is the true luxury,” the designers explain, “because of the artistic choice of creating a gap inside the superstructure.”
There’s also a beach club with a diving platform, a helipad, a garage full of toys, and all of the standard amenities you’d expect to find on a boat of this kind.
Shape, which is expected to cost €69 million (about $80 million), will be fitted with a hydrogen-powered propulsion system and will run totally on renewable energy, with a top speed of roughly 24 knots or 12 knots when fully electric.
The sundeck’s solar panels will be utilized to power all aboard equipment.

Although it is merely a concept, the Lazzarini team says the unusual design has gotten a lot of interest from brokers since it was introduced.
According to the designers, if Shape is taken up, it would take roughly 20 months to create and implement.
The unusual idea is one of several new creative superyacht designs exhibited in recent weeks.
